WHO WE ARE

Welcome to the Western Insulation Contractor Association. WICA is the premier trade organization for mechanical insulation contractors in the Western U.S. and Canada. We work with over 70 member companies to face the most pressing industry issues. We are an Association that is led by its membership for the benefits of the membership with special emphasis on the participation and service from its membership.

The Mission of the Western Insulation Contractors Association (WICA) is to be the voice of the mechanical insulation industry. We proactively represent our members and remain committed to increasing business opportunities and communication networks for our contractors, associates, and affiliate members through;

Labor Relations: WICA leadership works towards harmony between our Local Unions and contractors to ensure a successful and healthy relationship. We discuss and share key issues facing our industry and create symbiotic goals.
Collaboration: WICA actively promotes partnerships that benefit WICA Members and their counterparts.
Contractor Education: WICA searches and facilitates contractor education through our annual conventions, regional meetings, and foreman training courses.
Networking Opportunities: WICA holds quarterly social networking events in our most active regional areas: Southern California, Northern California, Pacific Northwest. Additionally, our three day Annual Convention is widely attended by industry leaders and promotes unity as a membership.

Membership dues are $0.04 per field employee per hour worked and are billed monthly. Currently we actively work with contractor operating in Local 5 – Southern California, Local 7 – Seattle/Tacoma, Washington, Local 16 – Northern California, Local 28 – Colorado, Local 36 – Portland, Oregon, Local 69 – Utah, Local 73 – Arizona, Local 76 – New Mexico, Local 82 – Spokane, Local 97 – Alaska, Local 132 – Hawaii

WICA host networking events throughout the year that encourage and strengthen the membership. We currently hold annual golfing events in:

Southern California Golf Tournament – Traditionally held in February
Northern California Golf Tournament – Traditionally held in May
Pacific Northwest Golf Tournament – Traditionally held in July

In addition to the regional golf tournaments we hold a highly favored Annual Convention traditionally held in mid-September. In 2018 Convention will be held in Maui, Hawaii.
