Labor Update

As I write this, it doesn’t feel like Spring, yet it appears that most WICA contractors are busy and have solid backlog going into prime construction time. This late spring to early summer we will have several locals in negotiations and the Construction Labor Research Council (CLRC) has published its 2022 Year End Settlements Report – Total Package Increases for Union Craft Workers in Construction. The WICA-WSC regional labor-management committee has scheduled the annual labor-management conference for October 23-24 in Monterey, California. All WICA contractors are welcomed and encouraged to attend this meeting where all WSC Local Unions will be in attendance. Mark your calendars now, more information will be available with the meeting itinerary in the coming months.
