Change of Faces at WICA
Sarah Hill Focuses on Meetings and Events
Long-time Communications & Events Director Sarah Hill recently said goodbye to her home state of Utah and daily life at WICA. She and her husband moved to Iowa City in preparation for his medical residency at the University of Iowa. She will continue to be involved with WICA as the Meetings & Events Director, working part-time from the Hawkeye State. While she will miss interacting with the membership on a day-to-day basis and in person, she is looking forward to the opportunity to continue her relationship with the organization. Before she left for the Midwest, the board honored her with a special luncheon and an Award of Appreciation crystal vase, in recognition for her sincere dedication and commitment to the WICA. You can still reach her at sarah@wica1.com.
Monika Guendner Joins as Communications and Member Services Director
Monika Guendner joins WICA with experience in charitable non-profits and news media, most recently as Marketing Director at KPCW, in Park City, Utah. Originally from New Jersey, she graduated from Rutgers University and moved to Utah in 1999.
Monika comes on board as the Communications and Membership Services Director, with a plan to get information out to the membership on the media they already use. She stinks at golf, all variations of fishing and cards, but can be as sarcastic as the best of them when needed. And no, she has never watched Jersey Shore or the Sopranos. That’s what visits back to the neighborhood are for. Her contact information is monika@wica1.com and 801-478-1257.
