Founded in 2003, Farwest acquired the operating assets of Thorpe Insulation Company and quickly established itself as the premier insulation contractor on the West Coast. Thorpe Insulation was founded in Southern California in 1948. Adhering to the objectives and values of the founder, the company positioned itself to grow in the markets it served and expanded operations by opening additional offices in San Diego (1962), Phoenix (1978), and Northern California (2000). Farwest has continued the strategic growth initiative of Thorpe, adding offices in Northern Nevada (2012), Tucson (2017), and Albuquerque (2019). Today the company employs more than 300 professionals and craft operating from seven offices throughout the Southwestern United States, making it one of the largest independent insulation contractors in the region.
